Beth Orton

Beth Orton— such a sweet soul
Like an actress she stays committed to her role
I love listening to her music on an evening stroll
To lift away the sadness when it’s taking its toll
It’s like pouring a glass of the sweetest red wine
When listening to the soulful song “The Sweetest Decline”
All of her songs make me sit back and recline
And reminisce on this sick, sad life of mine
Strangely— she really does put me on cloud nine
When God created people— He created a fine design
Beth Orton touches my heart, mind and spirit
My mind floats away like a golden ticket
I can reach out to her with my beaded arm
I’m sure that no-one could cause us any harm
She is to me like a good luck charm
I always keep her close like a tattoo on a forearm
I preach her music to the people who would listen
Her smooth vocals are like diamonds when they glisten
Her music puts me in a hypnotic daze
She makes me smile on the cloudiest of days
And she touches the hearts of millions of lesbians and gays
All I’ve got to say is that she gets my praise
Such a warm smile she possess
A lot of people need to recognize her success
Nevertheless she is more than blessed
To have a voice that takes away my stress
I’ve realized that my music tastes have broadened
I feel like a free man like Morgan
My stress levels feels shortened
What would I do without Miss Beth Orton?
