It Hurts Dad… Knowing That You’re No Longer Here

You Are Still Sorely Missed
18 months later and it still hurts that you’re not here
My eyes filling up with tears
One of the realest men to ever walk this earth
One of the few men that knew their worth
With the classiness and elegance of a Merc
Telling us his children to keep putting in that work
And keep pocketing the money like a purse
You was making them movements like a pair of Converse
In life there are lessons to learn
It’s hard to usher away this sadness and let it burn
You were too good for this world
And it’s hard writing this verse
Trying my damnedest not to burst
Life without your presence is like a creased shirt
Everyone is hollow like an empty church
We miss your laugh and the way your face turns stern
We miss your outpouring of love and genuine concern
I LOVE YOU DAD… AND TO SAY THAT I MISS YOU TERRIBLY IS BY FAR AN UNDERSTATEMENT 💔
